I remember when I first learnt of Yves Saint Laurent, I knew him as Christian Dior's apprentice. He was a skinny guy with thick rimmed glasses who later on to create fashion history. This Summer we all got the sad news of his passing which lead the fashion world into a frenzy of tributes to this great master. What better way to show the passion and true creativity of his work then to put it all together in an eye opening display? A lifetime of his work is now on display in an exhibition at the De Young Museum of San Fransisco, USA. Showcasing 40 years of his work including 120 fully accessorized outfits, original sketches and designs with video and photos of the designer. An iconic designer who made tuxedos & pea coats into all time classics.
♥The exhibit runs from 01.11.08 - 05.04.09 for more information check out the official exhibition website from De Young
